The undersea rail network would be 2,000 km and it will be transporting not only passengers but also oil and other goods. 


Speed: The underwater bullet train would travel at 600 miles per hour through tunnels with views of the sea.


Distance: The underwater train would connect Mumbai to Fujairah in the UAE. 


Challenges: The construction of over 1,200 miles of transparent underwater tunnels is a monumental challenge.


Feasibility study: A feasibility study report is underway to test the worth of the project. 



The Bi-Country Highway Association of India (BHAI) has also proposed an ambitious idea for a 2,000 kilometer sea bridge between Mumbai and Dubai. The BHAI envisions a bridge with rest stops, hotels, and streamlined passport control.
