The legend of Nidhivan is about a forest in Vrindavan, which is said to be filled with divine energy and associated with the divine pastimes of Lord Krishna.
The Discovery of the Grove by Swami Haridas - According to another legend, Swami Haridas, a Vaishnava saint, discovered the grove while seeking a place for solitary worship. He established a small temple dedicated to Radha Krishna there.

- According to one legend, Radha cursed Nidhivan after becoming angry with Krishna for playing with other gopis (cowherd girls). She cursed the forest to become dense and forbade birds, animals, and insects from living there after sunset.
The Raas Leela
- Another legend says that Krishna and the gopis descend from heaven every night to perform the Raas Leela, a dance that symbolizes divine love and devotion. As dawn approaches, they disappear, leaving their imprints on the trees of Nidhivan.
